Information design has changed my outlook on life and learning. Not only has it taught me how to make information understandable for others, but it has also taught me how to effectively teach myself and how to recognize when materials need reworking for better learning outcomes - and this is what led me to pursue information design further within the field of Educational Technology.

Some of the areas I have expertise in include:

  • Usability

  • Course Development

  • Instructional Design

  • Information Architecture

  • User Experience

  • Mobile Learning

  • Educational Technology

  • Document Production

  • Constructivist Learning

  • etc.

What is Information Design?

Information design is the aesthetic of taking complex information and representing it in clear, simple, and visually appealing ways to a broad variety of audiences. Information design involves technical writing, usability, information architecture, design, typography, research methods, project management, and much more! Information design looks at all aspects of how people interpret data and aims to produce the most understandable outputs possible. Information designers recognize problems, and they research and produce the best user-centered solutions possible.
